Leon T. Johnson

Leon Johnson has direct responsibilities over the Departments of Finance, General Services, and Information Technology, as well as the Public Library, Legislative Liaison, and Manager's Office support staff. Mr. Johnson is also Chair of the County's Comprehensive Services Act Policy and Management Team for At-Risk Youth and Families.

Prior to coming to Henrico in 1995, Mr. Johnson was employed by the City of Portsmouth and served as Director of Finance and Assistant City Manager for the City of Suffolk. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and a Master's Degree in Public Administration and is currently working on his Ph. D. dissertation in Public Policy and Public Administration. Mr. Johnson is a member of the International City/County Management Association, Virginia Local Government Management Association, and Greater Richmond Convention Center Authority Finance Committee.

Mr. Johnson serves on committees for the Virginia Association of Counties and Virginia Municipal League. He is a graduate of the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia and Leadership Hampton Roads.
