We Never Forget!Cold Case Investigations
At Henrico County, Division of Police, the Cold Case Review Team is dedicated to bringing closure to the many families involved and the investigators who worked these unsolved cases. The team reviews all “cold cases” by re-examining all evidence, interviewing and reinterviewing all potential witnesses. Click here to view a list of cold case investigations.

Programs and Events

 

The County of Henrico, Division of Police is excited to announce that the underage alcohol initiatives that began back in September of 2006 were a huge success. Henrico Police Chief Henry W. Stanley, Jr. identified it as a problem and made it a priority. Chief Stanley said,” If we can save even one young life, then all the effort is worthwhile”.

News Releases

On August 10, 2008 Ricky Burton was found shot to death in the 3800 block of Delmont Street in Henrico County. Sixteen days later Jermaine Saunders was killed a short distance away on Hunt Road in the city of Richmond. In response to these violent crimes and three additional murders that occurred in the Delmont/Essex area of Henrico County, Richmond and Henrico Police conducted a joint investigation targeting violent street level drug activity.

Virginia Secretary of Public Safety John Marshall officially recognized Henrico County as a Certified Crime Prevention Community (CCPC) and congratulated the county's 11 new Certified Crime Prevention Specialists in a ceremony held January 20, 2004.
